Batman Seen From Villains POV In Suicide Squad

Batman is terrifying from a villain stand point in Suicide Squad

Batman has been many things to many people. To ordinary civilians, he can be a beacon of hope in darkness of the city of Gotham. But he can also be a bit terrifying because well, he’s a big guy in a damn giant batstuit. So think how criminals must feel about the Dark Knight.

And seeing that Suicide Squad is about a bunch of criminals, many who have a history with Batman, we will actually see that for the first time in a movie, as Suicide Squad director David Ayer explains:

"I’m dying to say this and I probably shouldn’t is, all the Batman movies have been from Batman’s point of view. He’s the good guy. He’s the hero of his own movie in all the movies we’ve seen.”If you look at what Bruce Wayne has done in creating the Batman persona, his idea was to terrorize criminals. It’s sort of psychological warfare against criminals. This wraith that comes in the night and attacks and culls criminals from society. For the first time, we’re seeing Batman from the point of view of the criminals and he’s freaking scary."

I mean the idea that Batman can be downright terrifying has certainly been done before (and also hey, that’s what he’s going for when it comes to criminals). But it’s also true that we’ve rarely ever seen in any movie the villains’ point of view on what Batman is to them.  Like Deadshot is not a guy who is easily phased, but Batman probably scares the hell out of him. Deep down, he probably scares the hell out of The Joker too. But will he be an obstacle to Task Force X’s mission in Suicide Squad or mostly part of a backstory? We’ll find out when Suicide Squad opens in just a few weeks on August 5th.
