Telltale’s Batman on DC All Access

Telltale’s Batman game will be the first to balance the duality of being Bruce Wayne and Batman

Telltale’s next episodic game is based on the Caped Crusader, Batman! And supposedly is coming sometime this Summer, even though we are in mid-July and there’s been no trailer or specific release date announced (there are rumors that we will see the first actual trailer at next week’s San Diego Comic Con, but this hasn’t been confirmed). But nevermind that. In addition to this being different from any previous Batman game, in a feature on today’s DC All Access, Richard Iggo, Head Of Marketing for Telltale Games, discussed just how this will be different from previous Telltale titles as well:

Next: Return To Arkham Maybe In November?

Granted, this was on display at E3 just a few weeks ago for people to play hands-on, but I’m still extremely suspicious of this game that is suppossed to be out very soon and we have seen so little of. But admittedly this also ties into the fact that I’m not really a fan of Telltale Games in general. The story aspect is usually well done, but any portions where they try to do any gameplay are usually incredibly terrible. And the Batman game is either way-overhyped quick time sequences, which will be lame, or sound far too ambitious for a studio that doesn’t do action, at least not very well. I hope I’m wrong, and that Telltale’s Batman is the first game that really does a great job of equally representing the action and detective side of Batman equally, as well as what it’s like to alo have to be Bruce Wayne. We’ll find out whenever the game actually comes out, which theoretically should be any week now. Hopefully we’ll learn more next week at San Diego Comic Con.
