Dick Grayson returns to Nightwing in Nightwing Rebirth #1

So in case you hadn’t really kept up with DC’s New 52, a quick refresher: Dick Grayson was outed, declared dead and became an agent for the organization Spyral (and was Batman for a time as well, but at this point half of Gotham has been Batman for at least a short period). But now in Rebirth, he is back. Back in the Batman family fold and back as Dick Grayson and of course as Nightwing.

In this preview form the one-shot, Nightwing Rebirth #1, we see Dick Grayson super happy about being able to return to his old life and his old identity and also telling where the name “Nightwing” came from, which has been established, but isn’t commonly known, so that might be a bit of new information for some people (I certainly had no idea it came from Superman). Next: Justice League #1 Preview

Of all the titles in DC’s new Rebirth line-up, Nightwing certainly seems the most like a return to the old way things used to be from a much more drastic situation. I mean, sure Bruce Wayne “died” fighting The Joker, but he also returned as Bruce Wayne like two issues later. Nightwing Rebirth #1 is available tomorrow, July 13th.
