Batman v Superman Gets Honest Trailer
Batman v Superman gets the honest treatment in this Honest Trailer
It had to happen eventually, and timed nicely to coincide with the release of Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition on Blu-Ray & DVD, which is today, Batman v Superman gets its own very lengthy (just like the movie).
And being an actually honest trailer, this points out while there are a ton of problems with Batman v Superman such as well, everything involving Lex Luthor, a Superman who just broods all the time and wonders if there’s a point to anything and why the hell David Goyer and Zack Snyder were let anywhere near this project given things they’ve publicly said about both Batman and Superman, it points out some cool stuff too. Like how everyone thought Ben Affleck would be terrible, and he was awesome. The warehouse fight scene was awesome. Even though she feels incredibly tacked on, Wonder Woman is still awesome. Yeah, there is literally no amount of extra footage that will make Lex Luthor’s insanely complex plan make any sense or what he is even really trying to accomplish. I mean, if he just wanted to eliminate Superman, there are easier ways. It does also make the point that this movie was trying to serve so many masters (like jar of pee enthusiasts!) and live up to so many expectations there was really no way it could’ve delivered. Maybe, but it sure as hell could’ve been a lot better. Sure, this film will always have it’s defenders, but rarely has one film incited so many chamges so quickly, and not because it was well-received. If you do want to check out Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition with the 30 minutes of extra footage and hours of special features, it is out on Blu-Ray and DVD today.
