#11 – MCU: News about New Punisher Series
The Marvel Cinematic Universe finally did this character justice (pun intended). Unrelenting and uncompromising, Frank Castle / The Punisher exploded (again, pun intended) onto the small screen in Daredevil Season 2. As if the Man Without Fear wasn’t thrilling enough, the MCU gave us a man who instilled fear into anyone who had anything to do with the death of his family.
Jon Bernthal’s portrayal of the vigilante was so loved and respected by fans that Marvel went ahead and announced the addition of a Punisher solo series that will play in the same arena as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
It may be early, but there has to be some news regarding the development of the much anticipated series. Marvel should at least give fans a taste of Frank Castle’s impending evolution into the Punisher we know from the comics—maybe a new suit and gear?
