Harley Quinn Kicks Ass In New Suicide Squad Trailer

The Wild Card of Suicide Squad gets highlighted in this new trailer for Suicide Squad

You know, if there’s one character (ok besides Joker) in Suicide Squad who maybe doesn’t need an introduction, it’s Harley Quinn. Despite Suicide Squad being her first time in the big screen, she’s been the most popular female comic book character for years now. But that doesn’t make this new trailer any less awesome. And in case you were worried Harley Quinn might be treated as the weak link of the group (I mean she doesn’t have any special powers, she’s not a highly trained assassin, she’s just crazy) this trailer puts those fears away right off the bat (no pun intended) with her kicking more ass in elevator than Captain America could ever do. So, maybe I’m just judging this too early, but assuming we are getting more of these trailers covering every (or almost every) character of Suicide Squad, I think it was actually a big mistake to release a Harley Quinn trailer this early in the order. Like you should’ve finished with this because it’s an extremely strong and enjoyable trailer featuring a character everyone is super-hyped for. I’m not saying trailers featuring Joker, Katana, Killer Croc, etc. won’t be good, but my guess is they won’t top this, so this trailer would’ve been a very strong way to finish of this series of character trailers. I also still very much stand by my theory that if any of the characters of Suicide Squad don’t get a personalized trailer, they aren’t going to make it through the movie. Suicide Squad will have a massive presence at this week’s San Diego Comic Con, with a big presentation at the famous Hall H on Saturday, and huge themed events going on all week long. And then Suicide Squad actually opens in theaters in just over two weeks on August 5th.
