Lego Batman Movie Sets Reveal New Characters
These newly unveiled LEGO sets from the LEGO Batman Movie give us our first look at new characters and vehicles straight from the movie
Most normal big superhero movies get their own LEGO sets, so of course the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie is getting a few of its own as well. The first sets based on the LEGO Batman Movie were revealed today at the San Diego Comic Con, and they reveal plenty of new details about the movie, including some previously unannounced characters.
The first set you can see in the featured pic is straight out of a scene depicting Batgirl chasing Joker through Gotham City. We get our first look at Batgirl, who is voiced by Rosario Dawson in the film, as well as a look at Joker’s Lowrider vehicle. This set will consist of 433 pieces and retail at $49.99.
Now this second set is a lot more revealing, as it shows several previously unannounced villains for the LEGO Batman Movie. We get a look at LEGO Batman’s sweet Batmobile, but also a look at one of his classic enemies, Man-Bat, and a very weird and deep pull in The Kabuki Twins. Don’t know who they are? Well you wouldn’t unless you watched the fairly mediocre animated series, “The Batman”, they have only appeared in that show and have never been acknowledged outside of it until now. They are usually bodyguards for The Penguin, which also suggests he is in the movie as well. This set is 581 pieces and will retail for $59.99.
Next: LEGO Batman Movie: See Joker, Robin & Harley Quinn
So if they are putting characters as obscure as The Kabuki Twins in The LEGO Batman Movie, there may be all sorts of random characters making an appearance in the film as well. Will we see Bat-Mite? Lord Death Man? Catman? More may be revealed during San Diego Comic Con which is going on right now. The LEGO Batman Movie opens in theaters February 10th, 2017.
