Gotham Season 3 Details
By Kit Anderson
Season 3 Of Gotham takes place 6 months later….
The Gotham season three panel at San Diego Comic-Con has released plenty of new and intriguing information about the new season. The cast was more revealing about the upcoming season and its details than in seasons past.
The biggest reveal perhaps is that the series is set at a six month jump. Setting a season 6 months after the last is a rather large time jump that will promise a lot of changes for the cast full of characters. Side note if these time jumps become slightly larger in the seasons to come could we eventually see the birth of Batman? Obviously this is complete speculation but it is an interesting question if the show has continued success.
Barbara and Tabitha are now running a club called Sirens. Its seems as if we will see a mix of Barbara in season 3 both some of the character who was Gordon’s girlfriend but perhaps with a few more tricks up her sleeve. Butch meanwhile seems as if he will stay loyal to the pair while they run said club. We will not likely see him return to Fish Mooney as Powell thinks “Butch has fallen pretty hard for whippy-Tabs.”
Jim Gordon returns to Gotham city this season without a badge and with a new profession. Gordon will be a bounty hunter for at least the beginning of the third season. This gives him more room to become even darker and resist what few rules that the Gotham PD did have in place.
Selina Kyle meanwhile is clashing with a much more mature Ivy. This comes as little surprise with the recent news of revamping Ivy and her character. Overall Kyle has been one of the most consistent characters within the series and it sounds like her character will change very little in this upcoming season.
Nygma remains imprisoned for the start of the season at least. The only intriguing detail we were offered on his character was that he will be receiving “gifts” from Penguin.
Bruce Wayne will be learning how he wants to use the things he is learning to become the man he wants to be. This hopefully means we will continue to see his character transition into the Bruce Wayne who becomes Batman and not the whiny kid that was seen in season 1. A new trailer was also shown for season 3 of Gotham, which you can check out down below:
Overall the panel offered a lot of new and interesting info on the upcoming season and its premise. Obviously we will see plenty of the monsters that were at the end of season 2 as well. Season 3 debuts September 19th.
