SDCC 2016: Final Suicide Squad Trailer
The final Suicide Squad trailer gives us plenty of new footage without giving much away
Warner Bros. prepared a special trailer for San Diego Comic Con for their upcoming Suicide Squad movie, which is less than two weeks away!
In this new trailer, we do see a lot of footage that we’ve already seen, but there’s also so new stuff, mainly an expansion of that bar scene we’ve seen in previous trailers. The new footage shown implies that the Suicide Squad tried to finish their mission and failed (you might also notice a couple of members aren’t there in the scene, so they are most likely dead) and Will Smith’s Deadshot points out that they will most definitely be blamed because they are bad guys. This is obviously before they rally and decide to do what they can to finish the mission or do what’s right or whatever. There’s also a real funny exchange between Courtney Jai’s Captain Boomerang and Jay Hernadez’s El Diablo. Unlike other trailers, this one actually uses music from the Suicide Squad soundtrack. No new trailers focusing on specific characters have shown up in the last few days, but that could resume when SDCC is over since it will still be just a bit longer until the movie comes out. I’m glad we still no nothing about what the mission really is or to what extent Jared Leto’s Joker is involved, though I think this latest trailer might have shown just a tad too much as we probably shouldn’t know they fail hard before most likely picking themselves up and then succeeding at…. whatever it is they are doing. Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5th and be sure to keep checking Caped Crusades for all things Batman-related out of this year’s San Diego Comic Con.
