First Look At Justice League Dark

Justice League Dark is the next DC animated feature

The Killing Joke is out on digital download today, but maybe you are already looking forward to the next animated feature from DC. If you’ve been following our SDCC coverage, you know that DC has several animated films on the way, and first up is Justice League Dark, a superhero team comprised of the more mystical and supernatural beings of the DC universe. Well, a first look at Justice League Dark was put out today.

Justice League Dark is all about threats that the regular Justice League might not be equipped to deal with. Comprised of characters like Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman & Swamp Thing. Certain Justice League members will make appearances in the movie such as Superman, Batman (because he’s Batman!) and Green Lantern, but make no mistake, Justice League Dark is focused on a different set of heroes that take on very different problems. Get your first look at Justice League Dark below:

I really hope the Justice League doesn’t just feel completely shoe-horned in here like they did with Justice League vs. Teen Titans. I joke about Batman being in the movie because he’s Batman, but he’s the one top tier superhero who would make a lot of sense appearing in this film because he has history with several of the members, especially Zatanna who he is very close with. It’s also a very cool treat for fans that Matt Ryan, who played Constantine in the short-lived TV series, s reprising his role for Justice League Dark. Justice League Dark is coming sometime this fall to digital, Blu-Ray and DVD, to be followed next year by Teen Titans: The Judas Contract & Batman and Harley Quinn. We’ll of course let you know when a more concrete release date for Justice League Dark is available.
