Check out this preview of Batman #4!

Since the events of Rebirth, Batman has actually been having a relatively easy go of things. Sure, he still has to deal with enemies like a freakishly changed Calendar Man, but he has a lot of help in the form of two young new super-powered super heroes, Gotham and Gotha Girl. In fact it’s to the point with these two around to protect the city of Gotham, Batman is kind of wondering if he can step back from his heroic crusade, even if just a little bit.

But of course that’s not going to last, and Gotham will need all of it’s heroes more than ever, as in this preview for Batman #4, the Caped Crusader comes across a massacre of soldiers that could only have been caused by someone with a serious amount of power. Check out the synopsis and preview for Batman #4 below:

Next: Steve Orlando Talks Night Of The Monster Men Crossover

Admittedly, when Batman says someone with “Superman-level powers” massacred those soliders, I  immediately thought Gotham and possibly Gotham had finally had their seemingly inevitable villainous heel turn. But it at least seems that while Batman is discovering these murdered soldiers, Gotham is trying (and failing) to stop a guy from blowing up a rooftop. And while the big crossover doesn’t start until Batman #7, this seems to at least start the threads for the Night Of The Monster Men crossover. Batman #4 is out this Wednesday, August 3rd.
