The series will be titled Tomorrow, Today and will be under Jackson’s film and television production banner at Starz network.

Deadline reported that Tomorrow, Today is one of the properties that came from Jackson’s contract with Starz to develop a new series for the channel. His contract has been extended to September of 2018.

Tomorrow, Today is based on a screenplay that Jackson wrote. When asked about this new television show, he was very excited about the opportunity that this show will bring him.

"I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with my Starz family, we have had great success together on Power and I am excited to get going on all of our upcoming projects together. I knew Starz would be the perfect home for ‘Tomorrow, Today.’ This project is very personal to me … creating it, writing it, finding the best team for it and I will continue to be involved every step of the way."

The plot of Tomorrow, Today is the story of a young veteran man who has been falsely imprisoned in the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. During his time in prison, the man undergoes and becomes the subject of some cruel experiments which results in him becoming “an unstoppable killing machine.” After he is released, the veteran must navigate a world that has turned their backs on him, and channel his new abilities for the greater good of humanity.

Alongside Jackson in producer roles for Tomorrow, Today will be Anthony Cipriano (Bates’ Motel) Dan Kay and Kirkland Morris (I.T.). The team will assist Jackson and contribute with scripts for the series.
