Super Sons Delayed To 2017
The super adventures of Damian Wayne & Jon Kent in Super Sons will have to wait until next year
As is usual with a reboot (yes that is what Rebirth was no matter how people like Jim Lee might try to explain it as something else), there were a number of new titles announced. One of the more intriguing ones (well to me, anyways) was the announcement of Super Sons, which would have the sons of Super & Batman, DC’s greatest heroes, having their own adventures together. Super Sons was supposed to be an early September release, but was missing from the September comic solicitations, so many assumed it was canceled along with a couple other comics missing from the list and possibly never to be officially spoken of again.
Well, for now that’s not the case, as DC’s Co-publisher Dan Didio explained that it’s one of several books that has been pushed back to next year:
"One of the things that’s strange is we were planning #1s through September and possibly into October, but the relaunch was so strong at the beginning that we actually delayed some of the later books into next year to give them more time to spend, to build them creatively, but also we didn’t feel the urgency. We wanted to make sure we didn’t overwhelm the fan base right from the start with so many titles that we decided to delay some of the material. So we made slight adjustment on our schedule so books like Justice League America and Super Sons that we announced for later this year are moving into 2017."

I hope the delay for Super Sons is really just a delay, as I really like the idea of the next generation of Batman & Superman having adventures and bonding in their childhood. But you can see plenty of both Jon Kent & Damian Wayne in the pages of various Batman & Superman books for the time being.
