It’s Bruce Wayne vs. The World in this Dark Knight Trilogy & Scott Pilgrim mashup

The Dark Knight Trilogy is easily the greatest series of superhero films of all time. But you know what would make even better? A poppier soundtrack, quicker cuts and video game style effects!

Well, maybe not really, but in this mashup that combines scenes from all three films in the seminal Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy with the style of cult comic book film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, it sure seems like one hell of a fun movie, and not the more serious and grounded yet still awesome film series you know Christopher Nolan’s trilogy to be. Admittedly a big part of the reason I love this so much is I feel like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a super underrated film. I wanted like 7 of those films (one for each evil ex). So anything that invokes the style of that excellent movie and uses it to make something cool even better. Obviously it’s super impressive that Inventor Headquaters was able to cut a trailer with footage from the Dark Knight Trilogy in this style, but then not only did they manage to edit in those effects like sounds appearing as words, but then also other effects straight out of the Scott Pilgrim movie. Also bonus points for referencing Darkwing Duck, which I absolutely love.

I know traditional Batman fans would probably hate it, but this really makes me want to see a Batman movie directed by Edgar Wright, I think that could potentially be amazing. But this also makes me want to see Suicide Squad get a similar style treatment, because I think mashing that up with the style of Scott Pilgrim would be a great fit. Hopefully someone gets on that soon.
