Gotham: Valerie Vale & Jim Gordon?

Seems like Valerie Vale will be a love interest for Jim Gordon in season 3 of Gotham

Valerie Vale, aunt of Batman’s on again off again love interest Vicki Vale will be joining the third season of Gotham. She’ll be played by Jamie Chung. Valerie Vale will be a new reporter for the Gotham Gazette. And hey you could be covering nothing but fluff pieces in this city and still encounter plenty of murder and mayhem.

Jamie Chung talked about how Valerie will be constantly getting in involved in GCPD business in the upcoming third season of Gotham:

"You find Valerie in the midst of it all asking the tough questions, trying to get to the core of the story.I think the question is whose skin she doesn’t get under. She’ll gives the cops a lead, but continues to show up — and that makes it difficult for them to do their job."

But the most revealing tidbit Jamie Chung talked about was hinting that Valerie Vale will be dating Gotham’s very own police detective-turned bounty hunter, Jim Gordon:

"Valerie quickly realizes the kind of danger one can experience when ‘dating’ Jim Gordon…."

So it seems like the lovebirds of season are probably a done deal for the time being. Leslie is trying to move on with dating Mario Falcone, and Jim Gordon is apparently going to be dating Valerie Vale for at least some period in the near future. I would think given how important both characters are to Bruce Wayne, both will still be interacting with each other every now and again. So it will be interesting to see if they are able to be in a room together anytime soon. Gotham returns for season 3 September 19th on Fox!
