Gotham: Mad Hatter’s Sister Alice Cast

Naian Gonzalez Norvind will play Alice on the upcoming season of Gotham

Gotham’s Mad Hatter will be looking for his sister Alice. This we pretty much already knew. And hey, a guy trying to find his sister doesn’t sound so bad. Even if he might go to rather extreme lengths to do it. But it turns out that the Mad Hatter’s motivations aren’t of very noble intent.

Variety is reporting that Naian Gonzalez Norvind has been cast as the Mad Hatter’s sister Alice for the third season of Gotham. But what they also reveal is that Alice isn’t an ordinary girl. She has power. But she’s not one of Hugo Strange’s experiments. This is a power she was born with. And she has little if any control over it. Alice considers this power a curse. But her brother Jervis (Mad Hatter) considers it a gift. And he wants to share this “gift” with the world.

So Alice is constantly on the run from her brother. Suddenly, the Mad Hatter seems very villainous indeed.

Now, without knowing what this power is that Alice has, it’s obviously very hard to say whether the audience will consider this a gift or a course. Can Alice see the future? Can she fly? Can she melt people with laser beams from her eyes? I am thinking that if it’s something Jervis Tetch wants to take advantage of, it can’t be something good.

While season 2 of Gotham played around a little bit with people having special abilities, season 3 seems to be going full bore into dealing with powers your run of the mill police force will have lots of trouble handling. Gordon is well beyond your average officer/bounty hunter/whatever he’s calling himself now, but even he has limits. Gotham returns for season 3 on Fox September 19th!
