Valiant Puts Cats In Costumes On Covers!

Cosplay is everywhere as Valiant announces variant covers featuring cats dressed as the most popular of the publisher’s characters.

Valiant announced today that for the month of December, ten of its books will have variant covers featuring cats in costume as “the world’s most Valiant heroes.” This is a joint project with the Cat Cosplay of the Feline Variety blog.  The publisher considers this blog “the gold standard of the ‘cat cosplay’ genre” since its creation last year. This event is the blog’s first collaboration with a comic publisher or entertainment company.

A portion of the proceeds for covers sold will benefit the Brooklyn Animal Rescue Coalition (BARC) out of the Williamsburgh neighborhood, helping to run its no-kill dog and cat shelter.

Valiant’s Assistant Editor Lauren Hitzhusen says, “This might be the single best thing anyone anywhere has done, ever. All of Valiant’s numerous accomplishments – the biggest debut of a new publisher in more than a decade, the best reviews in the industry, a record-setting 50 nominations at this year’s Harvey Awards – pale in comparison to the glory that you now behold before you. But, all joking aside… No, really, this is the best.”

Retailers can order unlimited quantities of these covers at the suggested retail price, and the books are as follows:
