Abba Games Announces Justice League: The Board Game!
Abba Games is developing a board game starring the Justice League
Board games are definitely still a thing. They’ve found their own niche super loyal fanbase and actually keep growing. You can see it at comic shops and especially at virtually any convention. New board games get announced left and right. So it’s no surprise that the latest trend in board games seems to be ones based on comic books or comic book shows. With that in mind, Abba Games has announced that they are doing a game based on The Justice League. Here’s an official synopsis:
"Play your favorite stories from DC Comics universe in this adventure game combat between 2-6 players. The game is divided into missions, each with several chapters. Players will be divided into 2 teams and will face to meet its objectives in each chapter. The winning team will have benefits for the final combat, face to face between the two teams to decide the fate of the world! With many beloved characters from the DC Universe, Every mission is strongly inspired by familiar stories from our team of superheroes! Manage Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League to fight Darkseid, Lex Luthor and many other villains with the team of Heroes. Or use your many resources to complete your evil plan with the team Thistledown, with the help of Joker, Black Manta, Cheetah and many others."
Abba Games plans to announce a Kickstarter to help fund the game in the near future. The official title of the board game is Justice League: Dawn Of Heroes. There isn’t really anything available on just how the game will work just yet. But I believe Kickstarter requires a working prototype, so odds are we will get more details when that launches. They plan to release the Justice League board game before the movie comes out November 17th of next year if all goes according to plan.

Honestly, this seems just the slightest bit well, suspect to me. It’s an officially licensed game on Kickstarter? This isn’t some cult thing like Evil Dead 2, it’s got a massive company and presence behind it. I’m honestly not up on board games on Kickstarter, it seems like a great idea for lesser known projects, but I would think something with the name Justice League attached wouldn’t need crowdfunding. I hope it does well and is awesome though. We’ll certainly report when the Kickstarter begins for Justice League: Dawn Of Heroes and how it goes.
