Fifty Shades Of Joker Is Way Better Than What It’s Parodying…

Fifty Shades Of Joker Parody makes a convincing case for a movie  centered on the Clown Prince Of Crime & his queen Harley Quinn

An international box office hit that features a dangerously unhealthy relationship. Sure, I could be talking about Fifty Shades Of Grey. But I could also be talking about this Summer’s blockbuster hit Suicide Squad. After all, Joker and Harley Quinn have easily the most unhealthy relationship in all of comics, yet it was only very recently Harley finally freed herself of the clown’s emotional grip (by beating the holy hell out of him and rightfully so).

But the relationship between Harley Quinn and The Joker while disturbing, is one I’m sure fans would like to see explored in a movie on the big screen. That was obviously the genesis for “Fifty Shades Of Joker”, a mashup parody of Fifty Shades Of Grey and cleverly used footage of Harley & The Joker from the Suicide Squad movie by Youtube user NerdyHero.

Given that in reality, Fifty Shades is totally about a very dangerous and manipulative relationship (that doesn’t resemble healthy consensual relationships of this kind in real life in any way shape or form), it’s actually a quite natural fit. Check it out below:

It does actually take a lot to impress me with a mashup trailer, because a lot of them are just poorly edited with scenes randomly thrown together that don’t mesh or flow well. This one is an exception. The style and footage used goes along with the music very well. As psyched as am I for the upcoming Harley Quinn-focused film that is most likely a sort of DC girl power movie, I would definitely like at some point a movie that takes a good look at this relationship. Even better if it’s one where Harley realizes she’s better off without Joker.
