Unboxing: Jada Toys Metals Die Cast “Women Of DC” Figures

Metals Die Cast: M366 “Harley Quinn”
For our first villain, we have the M366 “Harley Quinn” figure. It seems to be heavily based on the incarnation seen in Batman: The Animated Series, the series which gave the character her origin and first appearance. Though she’s lacking her overly large mallet, she’s still sporting a gun with a comically over-sized barrel.
The figure, due to its design, almost looks like a small porcelain doll. To me, it actually appears slightly creepy—which is perfect for this character. Why? Harley Quinn is a character who is unassuming. Though she appears cute and innocent, her intentions are definitely not in those realms.
Metals Die Cast: Chaser “Harley Quinn”
Ever wonder what a Metals Die Cast figure looks like before a paint job? Well, the Chaser “Harley Quinn” figure is the closest you’ll get to answering that question. I say “closest” because it’s obviously been painted and sealed. However, it still retains that bare metal look.
Though it’s mostly one color (there’s another shade of pewter found on the figure’s clothing), the metallic nature of this figure brings out some details not seen with a paint job. You can really appreciate all the craftsmanship that went into this model.
Metals Die Cast: M370 “Catwoman”
The M370 “Catwoman” figure actually surprised me in its details. The front of the figure was perfect, but I didn’t expect to find some fun features when I turned it around. Notice the buckle for her goggles. This could’ve been an easily overlooked or absent detail, but Jada Toys opted to keep it in.
The whip is also a very nice feature. Coiled and ready for action, this Catwoman figure is another sculpt that seems like it’s about to come life. Don’t let the basic black fool you. This figure is actually very intricate in every way.
Metals Die Cast: M373 “Poison Ivy”
Finally, we have the M373 “Poison Ivy” figure. The first thing I noticed was the vine that wrapped around half the figure’s body. Like Wonder Woman’s golden lasso and Catwoman’s whip, Poison Ivy’s vine is made from a flexible plastic. It’s another detail that really brings this figure up a notch.
Poison Ivy’s facial expression is also a bit different that the other figures. She has more of a scowl than a smile. Unlike the fauna she so dearly loves, she doesn’t use any peacocking to attract her prey. Her deadly nature comes through perfectly. Another great Metals Die Cast figure.
