Jeffrey Dean Morgan Wants To Be Flashpoint Batman

Jeffrey Dean Morgan would love to play some version of Batman

Jeffrey Dean Morgan played Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman. Destined to die and become part of the inspiration for Gotham’s greatest hero. But what if it was a young Bruce Wayne that died on that fateful night in crime alley? What would that do to his parents?

Well, that possibility has already been explored in the comic book story arc Flashpoint. Thomas Wayne became Batman to avenge his son’s death by meeting out justice to the criminals of Gotham. Martha Wayne snapped and became the Joker.

Could a Flashpoint movie be in Warner Bros. plans? They seem to keep announcing new untitled films all the time. If there were such a movie in the works, Jeffrey Dean Morgan would love to play Batman in it:

"Maybe when he cast me that was kind of the goal. Hopefully DC can figure this all out, and in a few years I can come back and do a Flashpoint Batman! I would love it. That would be great."

Another possibility Morgan actually floated to Zack Snyder would be doing a take on Frank Miller’s interpretation of Batman, aka The Dark Knight, which of course Batman v Superman took a lot of inspiration from:

I have not had any big discussions with him about [Flashpoint], but I remember when we were in Australia doing Watchmen press, and I was having dinner with Zack or whatever. And he was like, ‘My dream is to do the Frank Miller Batman.’ And he goes, ‘You would be an awesome Batman.’ The darker version.

I think I would be most definitely up for a sequel to the Flash movie being Flashpoint with Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprising his role as Thomas Wayne. Considering Flash isn’t even out until 2018, that may not happen for several years minimum, so it’ll be a bit of a wait.
