Two of the best Batman games of all time available on PS4 & Xbox One right now in Return To Arkham. But is it worth the price tag?

After a pretty lengthy delay, Batman: Return To Arkham, a collection featuring Batman: Arkham Asylum & Batman: Arkham City and all of their assorted DLC along with a graphical upgrade, is out on your choice of current gen console today. If you want to get an idea of what the game looks like and if you think it actually looks better than the original versions, you can check out the new launch trailer for Return To Arkham yourself below:

What are critics saying about this latest remastered collection in a sea of remasters? Well, not a lot of sites seem to be reviewing it. Either review copies weren’t generally given out or there’s just not a lot of interest for a re-release of a couple of games that while great and critically acclaimed, aren’t that old.

IGN did review it and gave it a 7. They note it’s a pretty unremarkable port with the brighter graphics actually diminishing the atmosphere somewhat and some minor frame rate issues. The only other review I could really find was from Just Push Start, a site I’m not familiar with frankly. They gave it higher praise with a 8.5 but note many of the same issues, so they may just not have considered those complaints as much of a factor as IGN did.

Even if you are a massive fan of Batman or even just these games and want to just own them on the latest console so you can maybe ditch your older one, it seems like you should wait. I’m sure it’ll be on sale for a significant discount in a few weeks and probably repeatedly over the holiday season.
