Stern Is Making A Batman ’66 Pinball Game!
Stern’s Batman ’66 Pinball game will be available in three different editions
Pinball machines may not be as ubiquitous as they once were, but there’s still a dedicated audience for these staples of arcades, and Stern is easily the biggest name in the business, making tables for the past 30 years and still going strong. And their latest table is the latest example of Batman ’66 experiencing a resurgence in popularity over the last couple of years.
Here’s an excerpt from Stern’s press release regarding the release of the Batman ’66 pinball game which also celebrates the 50th anniversary over the last three years:
"Stern Pinball is celebrating its 30th year in business and the 50th anniversary of the iconic American TV series with an Anniversary Edition pinball machine featuring the world famous “Dynamic Duo” of Batman and Robin. The game will immerse players in campy fun and heart-pounding action as the crime fighting Dynamic Duo comes to the aid of the Gotham City Police. Throughout the game, Batman and Robin work to deduce clues and discover super villain plots in an effort to thwart evil plans and capture bad guys. Players are guided through the game by the voices of none other than the original Batman and Robin, Adam West and Burt Ward."

As awesome as this sounds, you better be prepared to lay down some serious money for this pinball table. The most basic version runs you $8,600. There’s also a limited edition for 10 grand that they are only making 240 of. Finally, there’s the SUPER limited edition model at FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. How limited is the super limited model? You have to fill out an application for it. And it’s already closed. You basically would have to know somebody who’s getting one and buy it off them at this point. Might be best to wait and see if you can buy this at a steep discount in the future from a failing business…
