Supergirl Season 2, Episode 3 Synopsis: “Welcome To Earth”
By Steve Lam
This week on Supergirl, Kara and the DEO must protect the President of the United States (who is played by former Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter).
Let’s face it, Supergirl wasn’t the only one who shed a tear when Superman had to leave National City and return to Metropolis. He was definitely one of the best things to happen to the show. This interpretation of the Man of Steel was everything a DC fan could’ve hoped for—bright, cheery, and full of optimism.

However, audiences can put away their boxes of Cleanex and cheer again this week. Yes, the sadness is brief because 1970s Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter will be appearing as the President of the United States. So she traded in her Invisible Jet for Air Force One. Who cares!? It’s Lynda Carter!
To get all of you even more excited, we’ll also be seeing the debut of two DC favorites—Detective Maggie Sawyer and … Miss Martian! Yes, Supergirl Season 2 is turning out to be one heck of a season. With classic DC heroes and villains popping up everywhere, this is turning out to be a very fun-filled universe. Here’s the official synopsis:
“Welcome to Earth”
"LYNDA CARTER (“WONDER WOMAN”) LANDS IN NATIONAL CITY AS PRESIDENT OLIVIA MARSDIN — An attack is made on the President (guest star Lynda Carter) as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault."
And, of course, the promo for the episode:
