Batman League Assembles Movie Batmen To Fight Evil
In this fanmade trailer, the latest Batman assembles the Batman League!
In next year’s Justice League movie, Batman must assemble the world’s strongest heroes to combat evil. But what if he could just recruit more Batmen? That’s the premise of Batman League. Ben Affleck’s Batman recruits other versions of Batman including the 1960s Adam West version, Michael Keaton’s 1989 take, Christian’s Bale’s Batman of the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy. Even George Clooney’s disastrous version (most likely for cannon fodder). There’s even an appearance by one young Bruce Wayne of TV’s Gotham! For the more casual movie-going public, the idea of multiple Batman League, featuring different Batmen from different generations teaming up might be a difficult concept to grasp. For the more nerdier of us, this has actually been present in other properties for awhile. There’s the Day Of The Doctor for Dr. Who fans. Turtles Forever goes really wacky with this concept, featuring various versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles interacting with each other. Hell, we’ve seen this concept in limited form on at least a couple of CW DC shows like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
And in comics this is nothing new either. Batman has teamed up with and fought alternate universe versions of himself. Spider-Man might currently be the king of this concept with the completely bonkers but incredibly fun Spider-Verse mega event.
Batman League is a pretty cool idea. And yeah, if you have like 8 Batmen, who needs the Justice League? Hopefully someday we definitely get to a point where a movie like this can exist and the larger general public will be ok with the concept. Then the nerds have most definitely won.
