Might be awhile before we get a live-action Batman film, but the very promising Lego Batman Movie is right around the corner swooping into theaters in just about 3 months here. Today, a new trailer was dropped for the film, and it gives us a much better sense of what the movie is about.

It seems like everybody loves Batman (Will Arnett), and thinks he lives a great life with lots of friends and gets to sleep with hot models. But it’s revealed that Batman lives a very lonely existence. All alone except for his butler Alfred. And the child he adopted (Michael Cera), apparently as a joke. Alfred confronts him about this, and finally by paying some attention to his young ward, we get the not-so-dynamic duo! In this latest trailer for the Lego Batman Movie, we learn what the Caped Crusader’s true greatest fear is according to Alfred, who his worst enemy is (it’s actually not the Joker, at least according to him) and that Barbara Gordon thinks it’d be a great idea if the police officially teamed up with Batman. Now, despite his reputation as a lonely loner who is always alone, in the comics Batman has a whole family of people he surrounds himself with all the time. Last I checked even if you don’t include the Justice League, he’s got a solid 5 or so partners that make up his extended Bat-family. He’s always trying to re-create that feeling of family. And obviously in the comics and movies, even with having a Bat Signal on the roof of the GCPD, the police don’t officially endorse working with Batman. The Lego Batman Movie opens February 10th, and it’s probably going to be the most entertaining DC movie you’ll see in 2017…
