Suicide Squad: Leto Explains His Method & More
Check out these clips from featurettes for the upcoming home video release of Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad just ended a super successful run in theaters and is all poised to hit home video in the coming weeks. To help promote this, Warner Bros. has released a couple of clips going in-depth and behind the scenes of one of the year’s biggest blockbusters.
This first clip comes to us courtesy of Collider and is all about the much discussed and reported on “method acting” of Jared Leto as The Joker in Suicide Squad. We know he really got into character both off and on camera and that resulted in some disturbing behavior. In this clip, Leto goes into why he went so deep into the character and director David Ayer talks about how Leto went away for awhile and he was left with this character of The Joker. Check it out below:
The second clip is from IGN, and is all about Joker and Harley. More specifically Jared Leto and Margot Robbie and working together on the set of Suicide Squad as Joker and Harley Quinn. Robbie notes that while most of her scenes with the rest of the cast were tightly rehearsed, that was not the case in her scenes with Leto, in which there was no rehearsal whatsoever. Robbie claims that unpredictability made their scenes together much more “electric”. You can be the judge of that but also watch the full clip below:

Suicide Squad releases on digital HD November 15th and on Blu-Ray and DVD December 13th. In addition to a bunch of special features, both versions will feature an extended cut of the film with 11 extra minutes of footage. We are most likely receiving the movie on Blu-Ray for a review, so we will have one when that comes out.
