Gotham: When Is Jerome Coming Back?
Sean Pertwee may have let slip when Jerome Velaska is coming back to Gotham
It’s not really a secret that despite being brutally murdered by Theo Galavan early on in season 2, proto-Joker serial killer Jerome Velaska would be returning to Gotham. Hey, dying once hardly stopped Theo Galavan (though being blown apart by a rocket launcher is a bit harder to come back from I suspect).
But now we have a pretty good idea when Jerome will come back to menace the already crazy city of Gotham. This weekend during the Heroes And Villains Fan Fest in Atlanta, there was a panel with various cast members from the show. And Sean Pertwee, who plays Alfred, indicated when Jerome would return:
Of course, this isn’t official. The only official word I’ve seen from anybody who works on the show is that Jerome would appear either late in season 3 (which this could be counted as late) but definitely be in season 4. The idea was that there’s a whole cult of Jerome being built up that primes for the atmosphere for his return. If this is true and there’s still plans for him in season 4, it looks like he’ll be back for a lengthy span of time.
But there was a panel this weekend with plenty of people in attendance so it’s unlikely that someone would outright lie in episode 14 isn’t going to air until the back half of this season. We still have episodes 10 & 11 left in 2016, but then the show goes on a lengthy hiatus until about March. So basically expect Jerome Valeska to return sometime in March of 2017.

So just how would Jerome return? It’s likely he was already brought back, one of the experiments from Indian Hill under Doctor Hugo Strange’s supervision. Does that mean he’ll also have special abilities to make him even more dangerous? Will he just have incredibly pale skin? Keep watching Gotham to find out…
