Joker Popping Loaded Question To Harley Quinn In February?

Is Joker proposing to Harley Quinn next year?

The relationship between Joker and Harley Quinn has always been a troubled one at best. Sure they are both psychotic homicidal maniacs, but while Harley has historically been completely devoted to Joker, the feeling is definitely not mutual. Joker has always been physically and emotionally abusive towards Harley, often seeming to care little if she lived or died.

In the comics at least, thing finally came to a head with Harley finally asserting her independence in rather violent fashion and telling Joker she was through with him. This was before Rebirth, though. Joker apparently is a changed man and is willing to show it, and he’ll show it this February.

Today the solicits for DC’s February comics came out and here’s the one for Harley Quinn #13:

"Joker Loves Harley” finale! Just how did a gentle, “reformed” Joker come to arrive at Harley’s doorstep when everyone believed him dead and gone? The answer’s in this issue—and it’ll shock you!"

So that in and of itself doesn’t mean much. Even the cover, which is the featured pic, doesn’t mean all that much. Covers sometimes have little to do with the actual story, or take things completely out of context/are very misleading.

What does lend some credence to Joker actually proposing is to Harley is that one of the co-writers, Jimmy Palmiotti, tweeted the picture himself, as if it is a really important issue:

It’s a little unusual for an writer to promote an issue that is still a few months off unless something of note is happening. So is Joker proposing to Harley Quinn? Possibly, but that grenade attached to the ring is probably both theoretical and literal. So my guess is she doesn’t say yes right away…
