An exclusive unboxing of Jada Toys’ Metals Die Cast 6.5-Inch “Hulkbuster” figure.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) was probably one of the most highly anticipated films of 2015. It was a reunion for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes which brought even shinier gadgets—especially Iron Man.

One of the biggest things fans looked forward to was the introduction of the Hulbuster armor. For years, fans have been wondering if the Marvel Cinematic Universe had forgotten about this famous oversized, overpowered Tony Stark exclusive. When audiences got their first glimpses of the armor in action, they were sold on the sequel immediately (not that they weren’t clamoring for it already).

The Hulkbuster armor made its first appearance in Iron Man #304 (May 1994). In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the armor is officially named the Mark XLIV Armor Modular Add-On, and is launched from an orbital tracking platform named “Veronica.”

Jada Toys continues the spirit of Marvel by introducing it’s latest massive Metals Die Cast 6.5-inch “Hulkbuster” figure. Jada Toys provided Bam Smack Pow with a model, so we have an exclusive unboxing for the fans.

Metals Die Cast: M132 6.5-Inch “Hulkbuster”

The large box is designed to somewhat resemble Tony Stark’s armory. Opening the box and pulling out the internal package we have the 6.5-inch Hulkbuster armor and a 2.5-inch Iron Man. Yes, this is an “assembly required” model—and Jada Toys hits it out of the park with this one.

Hulkbuster Armor

The Hulkbuster armor is as accurate as you can get to the one seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Due to the chunky nature of Metals Die Cast figures, this armor translates very well to this line. The paint is gorgeous. The gold really shines, and the red is something to behold. There’s a certain sheen and sparkle to it. It’s a very nice piece. But the real cherry on top is the helmet opening up so you can place in the …

Mini Iron-Man Figure

This 2.5-inch Iron Man figure brought a smile to my face the first time I saw it. It’s amazing how much detail Jada Toys was able to cram into such a small area. Looking at it from every angle, nothing was overlooked. It’s small and quirky, but also something that will catch the eye of any collector.

Getting Ready for Battle

This is where the fun begins. The mini Iron Man figure easily fits into the Hulkbuster armor. Jada Toys did a great job on the fit and finish of everything. Though the mini figure is easily placed in, it’s not loose in any way. Upon a closer inspection, I noticed how the internal angles perfectly hugged the tiny figure. As a tip, if collectors don’t want to display it in a box, you need to display it like this. The fact that it’s a figure within a figure will surely impress your friends.

Time to Face Off with The Hulk

The Metals Die Cast M132 “Hulkbuster” from Jada Toys is one of the best collectibles I have ever seen and experienced. Yes, the keyword here is “experienced.” The armor itself automatically impressed me, but the addition of a mini Iron Man figure really brought this overall model to the next level—it became an interactive offering. If you’re a Marvel fan who’s on a budget, this collectible should definitely be on your shortlist of candidates!
