Arrow Season 5, Episode 8 Synopsis: “Invasion!”
By Steve Lam
This week, Arrow continues The CW’s massive DC TV crossover event!
On Arrow‘s “Vigilante” episode last week, Oliver Queen and his team went on the hunt for a new vigilante hitting Star City’s streets. However, not everyone was in agreement on whether or not the individual should be brought to justice. After all, he was still helping out in some way.

Team Arrow soon lays a trap, pretending to be a gang of bank robbers to draw out Vigilante. The plan works and Vigilante makes his appearance. But when the Green Arrow is about to reveal Vigilante’s identity, he’s blown back by the booby-trapped mask. Vigilante ends up escaping, able to continue his brand of justice for another day.
As for poor Quentin, he shows Thea evidence that he might be Prometheus. Luckily, Thea, who’s not that easily convinced, believes that Quentin is probably being framed. She ends up taking Quentin to rehab so that he can at least face some demons that are true—his alcoholism.
The final big reveal of the episode shows Evelyn being in allegiance with Prometheus from the start. It also confirms that Quentin is not Prometheus since the Deputy Mayor is actually in rehab and not out and about.
This week, Oliver is in a very strange place—he’s in a world where he never became the Green Arrow, his parents are alive and happy, and he’ll soon marry Laurel Lance. However, Team Arrow will be going up against The Dominators with help from The Flash and Supergirl. Here’s the official synopsis.
“Invasion”
"ARROW CELEBRATES 100 EPISODES; THE EPIC SUPERHERO CROSSOVER CONTINUES — Oliver (Stephen Amell) wakes up to a life where he never got on The Queen’s Gambit. Robert (guest star Jamey Sheridan) and Moira Queen (guest star Susanna Thompson) are alive and well. Laurel (guest star Katie Cassidy) is his loving fiancée and their wedding is imminent. Everything seems perfect, but Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and the recruits take on a new threat with help from The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin) and Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist)."
