“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” Brainstorm: “Deals With Our Devils”
This week’s “Agents of SHIELD” raised many questions on the future of Ghost Rider and also the multiverse. Join us while we try to piece things together
Man, what an Agents of SHIELD episode. And it wasn’t even the winter finale! Maybe it was because we had nearly a month without new episodes, but this episode seemed to set up a lot of future possibilities. So I thought it best to brush off the old Brainstorm sessions!
Beware, spoilers ahead!
What brain is Aida building?
In the post-credits stinger, we see Aida using her newfound knowledge from the Darkhold to essentially build a brain in that other reality.
You know, it hasn’t been that long since Ultron tried to destroy the world. I sincerely hope Aida isn’t doing the same thing, but at least SHIELD can call on Vision to destroy her if necessary.
Two options spring to mind: 1. She’s building a brain for herself that will make her feel human emotions, or 2. She understands how dangerous the Darkhold is and is building a brain to house the knowledge she has gained from it so as to not become a threat.
There are more options than these, of course, but we’d be here for a while. If you have other thoughts, leave them in the comments!

Is this setting up for the rumored Ghost Rider spin-off?
Robbie Reyes has been a hit in this season’s Agents of SHIELD. But can you really keep Ghost Rider chained to one show? He’s not necessarily SHIELD material and he’s not necessarily a bad guy.
In this week’s episode, Robbie made a deal with the Spirit of Vengeance. He will help settle all of Ghost Rider’s scores, so long as he can take care of Uncle Eli Morrow. That means taking care of Eli doesn’t mean the end of Ghost Rider.
Robbie Reyes just signed up for long-term duty. And there may not be enough room for him to stretch his vengeance in Agents of SHIELD.
I, for one, welcome the possibility of a Ghost Rider spinoff.
What’s up with the latest Inhuman?
He’s been in stasis for months when Terrigenesis usually takes a handful of seconds. Any idea what this means? I have a feeling he’s going to be one powerful Inhuman (the start of the royal family? A descendent of them?). His identity will probably be revealed in the winter finale this coming week.
It also wouldn’t surprise me if this leads to that Inhumans show that will hit theaters next September and grace our small screens next fall.
I’m sure all our questions will be answered in the winter finale. And a new bunch will crop up and leave us angry and wanting answers.
