This Batman/Mr. Freeze Figure Is All Kinds Of Cool

Batman and Mister Freeze combine into one amazing figure from Square Enix

Batman’s  arch-nemesis may be the Joker, but I feel he has a special connection to the icy heart of Victor Fries aka Mister Freeze. After all, they both have lost loved ones due to circumstances beyond their control. And either would move heaven and hell to get them back. Victor tried. That’s probably the most tragic thing about Mister Freeze. He was never a villain, really. Never wanted money or power or to see people suffer.  He just wanted to cure his wife from a terminal illness, and keep her in a safe cryogenic state until such a cure could be found.

I think Batman can certainly identify willing to go to any length if it’s in order to protect those people most important to him. And so Square Enix’s latest figure from their Rogue’s Gallery series seems pretty fitting. And both awesome and terrifying at the same time. This is the third figure in Square Enix’s Rogue’s Gallery series so far, which features Batman mashed up in very cool ways with some of his worst enemies. They’ve already done figures where the Dark Knight combines with Two-Face and Joker with pretty good results.

If you want to get this figure in time to put him under the tree, unfortunately you’re going to be left out in the cold. It isn’t even available for pre-order yet, but should be soon and is expected to be shipping sometime in April of next year. No confirmation of price, but it should be in line with the other figures release so far, so around $200. Not a bad price for such a cool figure. I can’t wait to see more figures in this line.
