Gotham City Sirens: Megan Fox As Poison Ivy?

Is Megan Fox a candidate for the role of Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens?

Being as all we have is one star, a director and a title, we don’t know much about Gotham City Sirens just yet. We do know that Suicide Squad director David Ayer is directing, Margot Robbie is returning as Harley Quinn to star, and the screenwriter has a lot in the pipe such as the new Tomb Raider movie and (shudder) the Bumblebee movie. There’s still a lot of gaps to fill.

But being that this is called Gotham City Sirens, and focuses on DC’s deadliest villainesses, Poison Ivy seems like a virtual lock to be in the film. She is one of DC’s highest profile female villains and Harley Quinn’s best friend/on again off again love interest. But who would Warner Bros. want for the role?

Bleeding Cool claims that they have hard evidence that Megan Fox has specifically ordered Harley Quinn comics that feature Poison Ivy  and had them sent to her Warner studio address. This would suggest she is doing research for a role. And since the role of Harley Quinn is filled, it would seem that she’s doing the research for the role of Pamela Isley aka Poison Ivy.

Despite the quality of the movies, I think DC has been on track with their casting overall. This seems like a honestly terrible idea though. Megan Fox is arguably the worst actress working today, she manages to make every terrible movie she is in much worse. I don’t think it’s a matter of being in mostly bad films. She’s just a terrible actress. And I’m not saying Poison Ivy has to be a natural redhead, but there are several I can think of (like Jane Levy or Emma Stone) that would be perfect for the role and can actually act really well. Hopefully this turns out not be the case or my excitement for Gotham City Sirens goes way down…
