Cast & Crew Talk Justice League Dark
Learn more about Justice League Dark with the cast and crew talking about the movie
Justice League Dark will be the first animated DC movie that really explores the supernatural side of the DC Universe. Featuring more reluctant heroes such as John Constantine, Jason Blood and Swamp Thing, this Justice League handles those things that go bump in the night that the regular Justice League really isn’t equipped to handle.
If you want to know more about Justice League Dark from the people involved in the film, you are in luck. In this first clip, we have Supervising Producer James Tucker, Director Jay Olivia, Lead Character Designer Phil Bourassa discussing the premise of the film in detail & what elements from the comics fans should expect:
This second clip has some of the stars of the movie talking about their characters in the film. You have Jason O’Mara, who is the DC animated movie Batman and has been for awhile (and is also head of Shield in Agents of Shield, so he’s doing roles in both Marvel and DC properties at the same time). That’s in addition to Matt Ryan reprising the role of Constantine he played in both the NBC TV show and Arrow. O’Mara notes that for once Batman is not the straight man in this movie, and actually thinks all this supernatural stuff is ridiculous, so he gets to be funny, which is a rare thing for the Dark Knight:

It seems like Batman will be a vital part of the movie, which is to me is a minus. Like if you are going to make a movie about these guys, the regular Justice League should only show up early on and then hand off the rest of the movie to Constantine and his team. It seems likely that they will be a vital part of the film, and probably overshadow these characters who already get little time in the spotlight. I hope I’m wrong, but we’ll see when the movie comes out January 24th on Digital HD and February 7th on Blu-Ray
