Rocksteady Co-Founder Sefton Hill answers questions about Arkham Knight in an AMA

Rocksteady is definitely done with Batman. For real this time, they mean it. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still willing to talk about their franchise that really proved you can make some pretty awesome superhero games. Recently, Rocksteady co-founder & creative director Sefton Hill talked a lot about Arkham Knight, the final chapter for Rocksteady in the Arkham series (though likely not the final game) during an AMA.

First, Hill said that Arkham Knight will not be getting a patch for the recently released PS4 Pro:

"Unfortunately, we are not planning a patch for PS4 at this time. I know that’s not what you want to hear but better to be honest. We did release a patch for Arkham VR to support the Pro, which is a nice piece of tech. I’m looking forwards to playing it with my new 4k TV!"

Then talked about if he was satisifed with how Arkham Knight turned out. Hill did note that some felt there was too much Batmobile in the game, but the team really thought it was necessary:

"I was definitely satisfied. That’s not to say I think it’s perfect as obviously it’s not, but I think we achieved what we set out to do. I appreciate not everyone wanted as much Batmobile for example, but we felt it was important to keep pushing ourselves. I never want us to be in the comfort zone, as that’s the death of creativity.I’d much rather we went for what we believe in as I think that’s the way to make something special, that resonates with people. Occasionally you’re going to do things which not everyone loves but that’s much better than boring mediocrity."

Sefton Hill then went on to tease the next project for Rocksteady, but only said they are very hard at work on it. What might that project be? Most likely a Superman game if the rumors are true, which is potentially very awesome.
