Gotham Season 3, Episode 14 Synopsis: “Mad City: The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies”

In Gotham’s second mid-season finale, Jerome goes after Bruce Wayne, and Penguin goes up against Edward Nygma.

Gotham has only been back for a mere three weeks, but it’s going on another hiatus. It’s anyone’s guess as to why. Hey, like the crazed Jerome, there could be no rhyme or reason for it. What we do know is that Jerome will most definitely leave fans on a big cliffhanger until March or April.

In “Mad City: Smile Like You Mean It,” Jerome was successfully brought back to life, but woke up without a face. Dwight, Jerome’s loyal follower, thought the resurrection was a failure so he stripped off Jerome’s face and wore it like a mask. Yeah, that sounds totally logical.

Jerome, after having his fun with Lee, raced to the television station and helped Dwight escape from the GCPD. We soon saw Jerome’s plan—destroy a power plant during Dwight’s execution, and plunge Gotham City into darkness and chaos.

As for Selina Kyle, she disagreed with Bruce’s helping her mother pay off a past associate. Selina’s gut instincts were proven correct when she discovered that Maria was playing a con game. Selina’s world was further shattered when Bruce admitted to knowing about the con, but wanted to play along with it to keep her in good graces with Maria.

This week, we’ll see how these events have changed Selina and her relationship with Bruce. In fact, it could be semi-mended if she becomes the one who rescues Bruce from Jerome. Here’s the official synopsis:
