This week on Supergirl, Kara and the team battle a White Martian who’s loose in the DEO.

Last week on Supergirl‘s “We Can Be Heroes” episode, Mon-El received a crash course on how to save the day … properly. And J’onn performs a mind-meld with M’gann after a psychic attack leaves her dying.

More from TV

Mon-El has truly arced since his debut at the beginning of the season. Starting off as just another Daxamite, Mon-El has found his place on Earth. After being inspired by Kara, Mon-El knew what we wanted to do—become a hero. And so the training begins with Kara acting as his “Mr. Miyagi.”

Things become complicated when Livewire breaks out of jail and goes on a rampage. Defying Kara’s orders, Mon-El focuses his attention on Kara instead of the guards he’s supposed to be protecting. It’s soon apparent that Mon-El is in love with Kara, becoming distracted when she’s in danger.

Meanwhile, J’onn reluctantly agrees to perform a mind-meld with a dying M’gann. In the vision, J’onn finally sees what M’gann sacrificed when she turned against the evilness of her race and attempted to save the Green Martians. Pulling out of the mind-meld and healing M’gann, J’onn finds it in his heart to look beyond her as being just another White Martian.

However, all is not well. M’gann warns that the White Martians deem her a traitor and will be arriving soon to exact their revenge. This week, the team will do all they can to protect their friend and ally. Here’s the official synopsis:

“The Martian Chronicles”

"WHITE MARTIANS ATTACK THE DEO — Armek (guest star Terrell Tilford), a White Martian, descends on National City intent on taking M’gann (guest star Sharon Leal) back to Mars to face her punishment as a traitor. Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) determine the best way to keep M’gann safe is to bring her to the DEO. However, when it is revealed that Armek shape-shifted into M’gann and is now loose in the building, the team realize he could be disguised as any one of them."
