Agents Of SHIELD Season 4, Episode 13 Synopsis: “BOOM”

This week on Agents of SHIELD, the team faces off with an explosive Inhuman.

Last week on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD‘s “Hot Potato Soup” episode, the Koenig brothers returned and they were being pursued by Radcliffe and the Watchdogs looking for the Darkhold. It was up to Coulson and the team to find them and protect them.

In the middle of a firefight, the Watchdogs abducted Billy Koenig. Sam Koenig escapes, and was able to enlist the help of Coulson and the rest of the team. We soon learn that Coulson gave the Darkhold to the Koengis because they have a talent for making things disappear.

Meanwhile, Billy is being interrogated aboard a Russian submarine, with Radcliffe, at first, feigning to also being a captive. The ruse is soon exposed when Radcliffe disapproves of the method used to extract information.

At SHIELD headquarters, Fitz works feverishly and questions Radcliffe’s LMD. He gets nowhere, and only receives a taunting that’s rooted in Fitz’s verbally abusive father. After some uplifting from Simmons, Fitz analyzes the Radcliffe LMD’s brain. Simmons immediately connects the dots and deduces that another LMD is among them, acting as a spy.

When the team finally locates the Darkhold (it was being passed around from Koenig to Koenig, hence the title of the episode), May exposes herself as an LMD to Coulson. Quake comes in for the save. But while everyone is distracted, Radcliffe opportunistically acquires the Darkhold.

Now that the team knows May has been missing all this time, they can get going on a rescue mission. And we may just get that this week. Here’s the official synopsis:
