This week on Arrow, a mission brings the team to Russia where they meet Oliver’s old contacts.

Last week on Arrow‘s “Second Chances” episode, Oliver and team went on a mission to recruit a new Black Canary. And Felicity was tasked with hacking the NSA to get files that could incriminate Diggle’s corrupt former commander, General Walker.

Team Arrow ventured to Hub City to seek out a former cop, now meta-human, to join their group. Tina Boland was undercover when her partner/boyfriend was murdered right in front of her. Consequently, this was during STAR Labs’ fateful accident that also transformed Barry Allen into the Flash.

Tina, though, received a different meta-human power—the ability to use her voice as a powerful sonic weapon. When Team Arrow finds her, she’s on a one-woman mission to exact revenge on the gang who killed her boyfriend. And she wasn’t in the mood for a partnership in becoming a hero.

After Oliver saved Tina’s life, she gave him a chance—understanding that they were on the same side. Fulfilling her goal, she went to Star City to take Oliver up on his offer. It was there that she revealed her real identity—Dinah Drake. Comic fans will know this to be the name of the original Golden Age Black Canary.

Meanwhile, Diggle’s freedom relied on a key piece of evidence that would implicate General Walker’s corruption. Unfortunately, those crucial files were locked away in the NSA’s heavily encrypted systems. Well, nothing to worry about because Team Arrow has Felicity. As she worked feverishly to get the files, she came into contact with a hacker fan.

She agreed to meet the fan and learned that the hacker is part of a hacktivist group which has petabytes of information that could topple corrupt governments and reveal dark secrets. Felicity took the information and found what she needs to free Diggle—who was elated to return home and see Lyla and John, Jr.

This week, Team Arrow will be made whole again with a new Black Canary and the return of Spartan. Without missing a beat, their latest mission brings them to Russia. Here’s the official synopsis:
