By Steve Lam
The first full-length trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel’s Iron Fist has been released.
The first full-length trailer for Marvel’s Iron Fist has premiered, and it shows a very familiar origin story for our hero. However, Marvel’s hype powers give even the most overplayed tropes a fresh and exciting take.

When the trailer opens, you can almost hear the voice-over from Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen, narrating about how he was stuck in a remote location. However, unlike in Arrow, our hero doesn’t hide that fact that he’s got some skills.
The trailer soon dives into all its Marvel glory with action scenes and shots of the New York City skyline. Unlike Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, Danny Rand’s world is shiny and gleaming with modern skyscrapers. It’s a huge contrast from the Marvel/Netflix street-level-heroes-look of griminess and darkness.
A prominent thread that ties Iron Fist into the other three successful Netflix series is an appearance by Claire Temple—the C-3PO/R2-D2 of this endeavor (she has appeared in every Marvel/Neflix series so far, just like the mentioned Droids for their respective franchise).
To remind fans that this bookends the “small-screen” version of a Marvel team up, the words “THE FINAL DEFENDER ARRIVES” boldly flash in front of the viewer. Yes, fans, this is the series that will segue us into The Defenders. Check out the trailer yourselves, and let us know your reactions in the comments.
