Legion Season 1, Episode 6 Synopsis: “Chapter 6”
By Steve Lam
This week on Legion, David and the team must find a way to escape a strange reality.
Last week on Legion‘s “Chapter 5” episode, David wakes up from his deep sleep. However, it’s soon discovered that David is not really himself—something is now controlling the powerful mutant.
David returns from his trip to the astral plane and tells Melanie about his impromptu meeting with
Jemaine Clement
her husband. But that isn’t the only thing that happened to David. He’s a lot more confident and in control of his powers now.

David quickly meets Syd and the two cement their love with him creating a room that could be experienced mentally—it was the only way Syd could have “physical” contact with him without her powers getting in the way.
After arguing his point with Melanie and the team, David goes off to Division 3 to retrieve Amy. The team goes after him and ends up finding a massacre. They soon learn that David has full control of his abilities and he’s devastatingly powerful.
When Melanie calls Cary, we learn that David actually has multiple personalities—and one of them is a parasite. Yep, that demon blob thing with the yellow eyes. Another startling revelation? David was adopted. Okay, not so startling, but my inner-fanboy was cheering. Will we see Professor X soon?
The team tracks David and Amy to their old home, where David has basically knocked out all sound within the vicinity. The Eye also shows up, and when he tries to shoot David, David transports himself and Syd to their private mental getaway place. Well, it was a good plan at first—until the parasite demon ends up infiltrating this sanctuary.
Syd forces David to wake up. And when he does, he finds that he’s back at the psychiatric hospital—with the other team members also as patients. The twist: Lenny is their psychologist.
This week, David and the team find a way to escape this strange reality. Or could it be that this was the real world all along? Here is the official synopsis from FX Networks:
“Chapter 6”
