Supergirl Season 2, Episode 16 Synopsis: “Star-Crossed”
By Steve Lam
This week on Supergirl, Lois & Clark’s Teri Hatcher guest stars as a new villain attacking Central City.
In Supergirl‘s “Exodus” episode, the team was reeling from Jeremiah’s betrayal. As Cadmus got closer to shipping all aliens off Earth, the DEO raced against time to save them.
Loyalties were definitely questioned, and the focus was on Alex. J’onn, pretending to be Jeremiah, tested Alex—and she failed. The result: removing her from the mission to capture Jeremiah. Devastated, Alex turns to Maggie, who was more than happy to help.

Kara uses her position at CatCo Worldwide to convince Snapper to interview Supergirl. Kara hoped this would bring attention to Cadmus’s current activities. However, the meeting doesn’t go as planned. Snapper, who’s a strict reporter and skeptic, is unable to run a story without sources.
Meanwhile, Cadmus was kidnapping and rounding up aliens to ship off to a new world. When they target the alien bar, Winn’s girlfriend, Lyra becomes one of the latest victims.
Kara, seeing no other way to get the word out, blogs about the alien abductions—a huge no-no, and something that she’ll pay dearly for at the end of the episode. To actually save the aliens, Kara turns to Lena, hoping that she’ll know where her mother is currently located.
Alex and Maggie find a way to tag a Cadmus van via a GPS tracker—eventually leading them to a naval base where Lillian already has the ship ready for launch. Alex is able to convince Jeremiah to help stop Lillian’s mission.
With Lena’s information, Supergirl also arrives. Alex successfully destroys the base, but the ship launches. Supergirl, using all her might, is able to stop it from leaving Earth, saving the aliens.
J’onn apologizes to Alex for not trusting her, and reinstates her. Though Kara was correct about blogging out her report, Snapper felt that it was reckless and irresponsible. He has no other option but to fire her. The final scenes show two new aliens ready to invade Earth. This week, we’ll see what those new invaders are up to. Here’s the official synopsis from The CW:
