The best is yet to come: Why Gotham needs a fourth season pickup
All indications point toward Gotham getting picked up for a fourth season, and that’s a really good thing because the best is yet to come.
Gotham has some of the steadiest ratings in the books, but which steady isn’t bad the lack of an upward trend is challenging when it comes to being renewed. By all present accounts, Gotham will be picked up for a fourth season, and this is a great thing because the best truly is yet to come.
Season 3 of Gotham was supposed to revolve around the arrival of the Mad Hatter and his sister Alice. There was also the focus was really on the development of Oswald Cobblepot and Edward Nygma, and the return of the future Joker, Jerome Valeska. But they haven’t been the only ones to keep an eye on.
Camren Bicondova revealed in an interview with ComicBook.com that Selina Kyle is about to take a journey to the dark side in the second half of Gotham’s third season. A new adult version of Poison Ivy has also entered into the mix, and Indian Hill solved the problem of her age as she jumped from a young girl to a stunning young woman overnight. Tabitha Galavan and Barbara Keane always seem to be up to something at their bar, the Siren. (Is the Siren a nod to Gotham Sirens? Absolutely. But that’s a subject for another day.)
There’s also the news that Gotham fans can expect to see some version of Harley Quinn at the end of the season, which would be lots of fun to expand upon in the fourth season as young Bruce Wayne continues to move closer to becoming the Dark Knight.
Next: Lots to celebrate, but no Star Wars Celebration 2018
With so many possibilities looming on the horizon, things are about to get really fun in Gotham as so many kick ass female villains start their rise to power. That’s why we need that renewal soon!
Gotham airs Monday at 8pm on Fox.
