Agents Of SHIELD Season 4, Episode 20 Synopsis: “Farewell, Cruel World!”

This week on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, Daisy and Jemma make their move to get everyone out of the Framework.

Last week on Agents of SHIELD‘s “All the Madame’s Men” episode, the Resistance gained an upper hand when they exposed Hydra’s true intentions to the world. And Aida’s ultimate plan was revealed.

After May throws a Terrigen crystal at her feet, Daisy is transformed into Quake. Making their way through the Triskelion, the two end up being confronted by Madame Hydra and her men. Little did they know, Daisy was now in full Inhuman mode.

She blasts them, and Madame Hydra is thrown through the window. With Madame Hydra critically injured, Fitz makes a shoot-on-site order for both May and Daisy.

Back at the Resistance stronghold, Jemma figures out Project Looking Glass involves Darkhold technology. She and Tripp soon go to the Baltic Sea, looking for the deadly machine. They find nothing. However, Jemma learns that the real location is in the real world, as well as Aida’s ultimate plan—she’s creating an organic body for herself.

May and Daisy are soon able to rendezvous with Coulson and team. They form a plan to expose Hydra to the world by commandeering a television station. In the last scene, Coulson dons a suit and declares that he’s an Agent of SHIELD.

This week, Daisy and Jemma make their final play to break the team out of the Framework. However, not every member is ready to go. Here’s the official synopsis from ABC:

“Farewell, Cruel World”

"Farewell, Cruel World! Daisy and Simmons race against the clock to get the team out of the Framework, but not everyone is ready to leave."

Next: Could Grant Ward return to the world as an LMD?
