The Flash Season 3, Episode 20 Synopsis: “I Know Who You Are”

This week on The Flash, Barry and the team seek out Tracy Brand, a scientist who may have the means to trap Savitar in the Speed Force.

Last week on The Flash‘s “The Once and Future Flash” episode, Barry traveled to 2024 to learn Savitar’s real name. However, with Team Flash disbanded after the tragic events of Iris’s murder, Barry must now become their beacon of hope.

Picking up right where we left off last week, the newly transformed Caitlin went on a rampage inside STAR Labs. Barry speeds in just in time to save them, sending Killer Frost on the run. It’s all about priorities when Barry makes the decision to first travel to 2024 before dealing with Caitlin.

More from TV

Barry arrives to a crime-ridden Central City where Team Flash is no more. Killer Frost destroyed Cisco’s hands, taking away his career as Vibe. Wally’s encounter with Savitar left him with a broken spine and catatonic. And the future Barry had lost all hope.

Barry wanted to help them, but his sole mission was to find Savitar’s real name. Since no one knew, his next step was to go back to the present. However, future Cisco’s hope to bring back Team Flash resonated with present Barry—inspiring him to round up the crew to apprehend Mirror Master and Top.

The final battle had future Barry donning a newer suit and helping his past self. Team Flash is successful and present Barry goes back to 2017 with the knowledge that he’ll need to seek out Tracy Brand—a scientist who has the know-how of how to trap Savitar in the Speed Force. In the final scenes, Savitar reveals his real identity to Killer Frost to gain her trust.

This week, both Team Flash and Killer Frost will seek out Tracy. And we may learn the biggest secret of Season 3: Who is Savitar? Here’s the official synopsis from The CW:

“I Know Who You Are”

"VIBE FACES OFF AGAINST KILLER FROST – Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team meet Tracy Brand (guest star Anne Dudek), a scientist, who may be the key to stopping Savitar. Unfortunately, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) is also after Tracy so Team Flash must battle their old friend, which proves to be particularly difficult for Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecile’s (guest star Danielle Nicolet) relationship takes a big turn."
