Final Wonder Woman trailer airs during MTV Movie and TV Awards
Gal Gadot was on hand at the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards to present the final trailer leading up to Wonder Woman’s June 2 premiere.
Gal Gadot hinted on social media that something “Wonder-ful” was coming during the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards on Sunday night. This led to speculation that a new trailer would be released, and if so it would likely be the final trailer leading up to Wonder Woman’s June 2 premiere.
Here’s a look at the latest trailer:
The MTV Movie and TV Awards, like the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, are great places to debut the final trailer for Warner Bros’ first female-driven superhero movie. Though the film works for fans of all ages, appealing to younger audiences helps generate buzz for the movie in the final weeks before the movie comes out.
Warner Bros has faced scrutiny over the past few weeks with some people claiming that Wonder Woman has not received the same marketing push that other DC Comics movies like Suicide Squad, Batman v Superman and even the upcoming Justice League have received. However, the money does seem to add up, with Wonder Woman beating Suicide Squad’s marketing budget even though it doesn’t seem like we’re seeing a market saturation with Wonder Woman the way we did with Suicide Squad.
