You can breathe now. Early reactions and reviews are in, and Wonder Woman looks to be a massive hit among early viewers.
Reviews and reactions are pouring in now that the embargo has been lifted on Wonder Woman, and the reactions are resoundingly positive. This is a huge moment for the first female superhero movie.
Wonder Woman is the first of several female-led superhero films in the pipeline, and fans and studios alike have been waiting with baited breath to see how it will be received. Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins are paving the way for Captain Marvel, Batgirl, Gotham Sirens, and hopefully a standalone Black Widow movie. If Wonder Woman is a box office success, the floodgates will open for more female superhero and supervillain movies.
From these early reactions it sounds like the film is fun to watch, not dark, has a sense of humor, has chemistry between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, and is optimistic. The fact that the movie is fun and not dark already makes it very different from 2016’s Batman v Superman, where Diana Prince made her debut.

For anyone who might be on the fence about seeing the latest entry in the DC Extended Universe, it looks like Wonder Woman is worth the gamble. And if it is as good as everyone is saying, let’s hope the other DCEU films like Justice League are taking notes.
