Gotham season 3, episode 19 synopsis: “Heroes Rise: All Will Be Judged”

This week on Gotham, Jim and Harvey find the crystal owl which reveal secrets to the city’s underworld.

Last week on Gotham‘s “Heroes Rise: Light the Wick” episode, Jim Gordon infiltrated the Court of Owls and discovered their master plan to use the Alice Tetch virus to destroy the city. Meanwhile, Bruce started his formal training with the Temple Shaman.

The Court abducted Nathaniel Barnes for the purposes of extracting his blood—which was infected by Alice Tetch’s rage virus. With the help of Doctor Strange, they’re able to weaponize it into aerosol form.

Jim, using his new position as a member of the Court, performed his own investigation into Kathryn. He soon discovered the Court’s plan to use the newly weaponized virus to destroy the city. As a final test, the Court had Jim unleash the weapon on Gotham’s elite—hoping they would destroy themselves (a plan reminiscent of Ra’s al Ghul’s from Batman Begins).

Jim was able to put a stop to it, but ended up making himself a target of the Court. They send Barnes—who already has a bone to pick with Jim—to kill him.

In the temple, Bruce started his training, but his rage hindered his progress. With the Shaman’s help, Bruce freed himself from this burden. Seeing his own potential, Bruce chose to stay to further his skills.

As for Selina, who was shoved out a window by Fake-Bruce, she made a quick recovery—thanks to Ivy’s botanical know-how. Selina’s first mission after waking up was to go to Wayne Manor and kill Fake-Bruce.

This week, Jim and Harvey find the crystal owl (remember that thing?) and discover some long forgotten secrets. And Edward Nygma and Penguin must partner together to escape from the Court. Here’s the official synopsis from Fox:
