New photos show Amber Heard’s Mera in Aquaman

New images of Amber Heard as Aquaman’s Mera have emerged. Her new form-fitting costume is svelte, to say the least. What do you think of it?

It looks Aquaman’s Mera has undergone a few script revisions since the last time we saw her back in October. New images of Amber Heard’s character have been revealed and her new costume is quite streamlined, which is to say it’s really tight, which is to saw she’ll be able to glide through the water with no resistance.

Michael Phelps would love an outfit like hers.

In all seriousness, the image we saw of Mera back in October is a lot different than the ones that were recently released. October Mera was stylized, like a Lana Parilla Evil Queen of the sea. It likely wouldn’t be the easiest outfit to swim in, but it looks really cool on land.

Now, it might just be me, but the October Mera reminds me a lot of Scarlet Witch while May Mera looks a lot like Black Widow. It’s probably a coincidence, but it’s still interesting to see the similarities in their appearances.

There is a lot of speculation that Mera’s new costume might be a result of the shift away from darker imagery seen in Batman v Superman. But the bigger question is whether or not Aquaman himself will have a similar costume change from what we have seen to something else.
